A bit of very good news comes our way today from none other than the Music Industries News Network. Audio sales may be lagging but according to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), DVD equipment is selling fast.
Factory-to-dealer sales of TV/DVD combinations increased by 316 percent to more than 122,053 units during May, while sales of stand-alone DVD players were up more than 40 percent for the month, compared to the same period in 2002, with total sales of 1.33 million units. |
Just as
we all suspected, DVD products are a good value for the money and we the consumers are showing our interest. This can only lead to more exciting innovation and technology for us. Where else in todays economy can we see such a positive growth area?
