Today, we can read a review at TechConnect of the stylish slim combo drive available from INcoder. This portable USB or IEEE1394 drive comes wrapped in leather, either black or brown and features 24X-R/10X-RW/24X-RW/8XDVD. The review looks at a pre-production unit. Checking this morning at the InFocus web page, they are available now supporting both Windows machines and Macs that are running OS 9.0 or later.
| INcoder focused on performance as well as looks and portability. The D1 is very stylish and easy to take on road. The brown leather gives him a neat and stylish aspect. What makes this slim drive to stand above the rest is the looks. Coupled with great performance, the D1 is quite a nice release by INcoder. The greatest plus in performance area is the seek times, which are superb. Second to that, there is the DVD reading performance, and writing performance which does not disappoint at all. INcoder did not ignore the bundle, which we can safely say it is complete. The unit retails with a copy of the excellent Nero Burning-ROM software, a copy of WinDVD4 player, CD-R and CD-RW media. It is nice to see such quality bundle and many users will appreciate it. The unit is available in USB2.0 flavor, but there is also a FireWire version of it. Choose whichever suits best to you. |
