It has the main features of a portable Jukebox including MP3, WMA, ASF and Wave support, 20/40GB storage capacity, USB2 support and 12-hour battery life for audio in a small compact size. But for video playback it features a 3.5" vivid colour display, AV out and MPEG4, AVI and ASF video playback and 4 hours of battery life.
Some extra useful features that most portable Jukeboxes and media centre's lack includes a built-in FM-Radio tuner, line-in & voice recording with direct encoding to MP3 and a built in speaker. While Rio was the first to start shipping the very first MP3 players, they seem to be a bit behind on releasing their video version. At least this player is not heavily crippled on features like recent Creative, Sony video player and other Janus based players. The one of the first video players I have come across to feature a built in speaker and FM-Radio. The speaker makes it handier to show off video clips to friends without the "pass the headphones" issue, multiple user viewing and other times where headphones would be undesirable.
