Buzby used our newssubmit to tell us that he has found a solution for people that have installed Nero on their Windows XP system and suffer a slow loading time...
I've found this in another news group, don't think I've seen it on here. If you find that Nero is slow to load under XP try this, it worked for me! |
Go to "administrative tools" in the control panel, and in the "services" list, disable the IMAPI CD-Burning COM service. (Note: manual
setting is not enough it must be disabled) It is the built-in CD-burning capability for windowsXP (incidentally, written by Roxio). If you are using Nero, you don't need this anyway. Once it is disabled, Nero will start up much quicker.
