In the USA an independant lobbying group has been founded. Their name "Click The Vote" is an allusion to the MTV campaign Rock The Vote. Currently without commercial support their aim is to make the rights of p2p users and the misuse of the American copyright laws an issue for the next elections in the US.

Defend open computing and open standards CTV strives for open communications systems at every level and opposes closed computing and other hardware and software restrictions or government mandates which limit consumer choices and stifle democratic values. Democratize the electromagnetic commons CTV strives for new 21st century electromagnetic spectrum public licensing that acknowledges emergent and non-interfering technologies. |
We will see, if they are able to influence the politics in any way. At least their website does not show too much contents yet.
