WinDVD Platinum, the most recent version of the world's best-selling DVD player, is the first InterVideo product to feature DivX technology. Additionally, InterVideo plans to integrate DivX and DivX Pro encoding technology into future versions of other leading products. The two companies will co-market the DivX-powered InterVideo products through their respective web properties, www.intervideo.com and www.divx.com. DivX.com offers a valuable marketing channel of international tech-savvy digital video consumers, with 10 million monthly visitors.
For people that don't know what DivX is, DivX is a video compression technology that offers DVD-quality video at sizes 7-10 times smaller than MPEG-2. The full press release can be found here.
