Is Zune sharing useless?

GristyMcFisty used our news submit to refer this article to us, demonstrating Steve Jobs' misunderstanding on how to make a proper and relevant comparison.  While the one he chooses will raise eyebrows and generate giggles, it may also signal Jobs' sense of 'reality' is at least slightly lacking when it comes to why Zune won't dent the iPod:

Jobs was quoted in Newsweek as claiming that Zune is no threat to the iPod because its much touted wireless facility is too slow to use it to pick up girls.

Somehow, it does not seem likely guys will eye the Zune as a 'girl magnet,' nor that this will be its primary 'drawing power,' so this example is quite foolish; some would even say such a quick dismissal of another product merits suspicion or perhaps even hides a real concern on the part of the individual vocalizing it.  Any potential competitor should concern any businessperson, regardless if the competition seems initially 'promising' or not.  Avid followers of CDFreaks news will remember the Creative settlement, as well as the Sandisk Sansa offering.  If these competitors get 'serious' and find some ingenious additions and song services with their players (especially if they go non-DRM), the iPod could find its 75% market share evaporating quickly.
