As many of you know we have joined United Devices, a distributed computing project that is trying to find the cure against Cancer. Many of you will know people who suffer or have died from this disease, and therefore very important to find a cure.

The UD project checks each of hundreds of millions of molecules to see if they are likely to interact with a target protein. The software calculates and studies the many possible shapes, or conformers, the molecule might adopt
interacting with the protein. And by this way it is able to find the cure.

The more people who join this project, the bigger the chance to find a cure for Cancer. For those who don't think that this is worthwhile enough, there are also some prizes that can be won (US residents only!) at present.
