KaZaa went spyware... but solution is near

I already uninstalled KaZaa a few days ago because it couldn't start anymore. Why? Because I didn't install all the spyware with it. shovmyfist also noticed this:

I was using Kazaa the other day & it asked me to update my version to 1.3.1 so I figured ok why not... so after I did this I ran AD-Aware & it found new spyware. After getting rid of it I opened Kazaa again & found it didnt work (because I got rid of the spyware)... I then checked www.kazaa.com about the version history & it says "July 24 2001 - Latest version. Version 1.3.1 - New banner display. "

New banner display sounds like Spyware to me!

And indeed KaZaa has moved to a spyware-only program. Fortunately the solution is near: Grokster. As we already reported several weeks ago, the grokster company bought the P2P code from Fasttrack. And guess what.. Fasttrack is the company who created KaZaa. Conclusion: Grokster = KaZaa. And if you take a look at our article about grokster u see this is true. It even has the SAME interface as KaZaa.

U can download Grokster here. Please note that grokster installs the 'HotText' spyware, but you can easily put this option off during the installation process. Grokster will still work.

Also thanks to TAFKAP for pointing us to grokster again
