Kano Technologies announces first double-sided DVD+R media

We previously missed this one but during the CES
technology event held from January 8 to 11 in Las Vegas, Kano
Technologies introduced the first double-sided (DS) DVD+R media. The Kano "ArchivMedia" DVD+R DS
media will be produced by Verbatim.

"Kano selected Verbatim to develop and
produce ArchivMedia because the patented Verbatim Metal Azo(TM) recording
dye is extremely durable and stable," said Robert Young, Kano's national
sales director. "This gives our media an exceptionally long life, which is
critical for archiving. It also maintains the best possible recording
compatibility with all DVD+R recorders and players."

"This is our first ArchivMedia product," continued Young. "Our goal
with this product line is to offer the best possible media, both in
quality and reliability, for archival applications."

All ArchivMedia DVD+R DS media is inspected and checked for defects
prior to packaging and is backed with a limited lifetime
guarantee.
