LiteOn CD/DVD Media testing tool KProbe v2.4.6 released

Our reviewer, OC-Freak let us know that KProbe, a media diagnostic utility designed exclusively for LiteOn drives has been updated to version 2.4.6.  For those of you who are not familiar with KProbe, this is a utility designed to test DVD media with PI and PIF error scans while representing this information on a graph, run performance tests as well as display information about the drive and its loaded media.  The utility also works on CDs to perform C1/C2 error scans and includes other features, such as the ability to change the drive's region and bit-setting.

This version fixes a bug with DVD-R/RW's disc ID, adds LightScribe and DVD-RAM support to its DiscInfo feature, fixes a bug with ATIP/ADIP and has an improved Bit-setting feature.

KProbe Version 2.4.6 Changelog:

  • Fix bug DVD-R/RW disc ID
  • DiscInfo supports Lightscribe and DVD-RAM
  • Upgraded BitSetting function
  • Fix bug: ATIP/ADIP cannot stop when TE/FE occur on the last block.

KProbe 2.4.6 can be downloaded here.
