LiteOn will go both ways on blue ray

Looks
like the Inquirer cornered someone in the know over at LiteOn and they are not
decided yet on which format they will support. But, at least according to the
Inquirer, they will not be creating any "combo drives".

We had a chance to contact some of its representatives on the planets, and those some confirmed that Liteon still haven't finally decided which one to chose. The chaps said that they will probably go "both ways" and introduce separate computer drives supporting both HD DVD and Blu-ray. Now we are not talking about combo drives, it will be two separate drives - one HD DVD manufactured device and one Blu-ray marchitecture based drive.

They went on to say that they were told to expect hardware of some
kind that uses the blue laser from the optical drive producer this
summer.
