Local and South Korea brands lower retail prices of MP3 players



GristyMcFisty used our news submit to tell us that both leading and
second tier brands Mp3 players in South Korea and Taiwan have dropped in
price. This price drop covers both the 256MB and 512MB versions of the Mp3
players and includes brands such as MPIO and iRiver


 


The drop in price is most notably
timed to coincide with the Chinese New Year which occurs on February 9th and
demand is expected to peak on the run up.




Mp3 playersIn the Taiwan market, leading and second-tier brands, as well as South Korea brands such as MPIO and iRiver, have all recently lowered their retail prices for 256MB and 512MB MP3 players, in an attempt to take advantage of the expected peak in demand prior to Chinese New Year (February 9) and through to February 14, according to local retail channels.
