spotted some news over at DigiTimes today that may be of interest. This USB 2.0 external
DL drive from Micro-Star International also supports the RAM format. The
complete specs are as follows: DVD+R9 / DVD-R9: 8x4x, DVD-RAM: 5x, DVD+R / DVD+RW: 16x8x, DVD-R /
DVD-RW / DVD-ROM: 16x6x16x, CD-R / CD-RW / CD-ROM: 40x24x40x.

Interestingly, there is also a newer firmware available here. The description says it offers better media
compatibility.
