Mediaseek, a file sharing utility that had a lot of similiarities to AudioGalaxy has decided to shutdown their service, this time it seems not because of legal issues, but because of it's popularity.
While other file sharing networks shut down their services because of the RIAA/MPAA, this service, located in Poland could no longer afford the resources needed to maintain their service. This is the message you will now find on their website:
Sadly, we need to temporary suspend the file sharing and downloading feature. It is due to the outstanding interest in the service provided, which we unfortunately are not able to fulfill at the moment. |
What is ironic the main problem is popularity. The traffic and server load increased massively during the last days. Our old servers are insufficient for the purpose of keeping the system online and working.
Unhappily we also had large problems with selling the advertising space that the site provided, what have lead to the lack of founds needed to keep MediaSeek.pl online in its full form.
But do not worry! We do not believe that a rapidly growing community of 100 000+ users can disappear without notice. We see a chance to rescue the service and it is you who can make a difference. The way to rise founds is very simple. We do not require you to pay anything, but just support us.
All you need to do to help is to simply accept some information from our sponsors. In order to do that, check out the link above. By signing up and enrolling to the newsletter you bring MediaSeek.pl a step closer to rebirth.
