Microsoft has announced that they will stop with the production of the HD DVD player for the Xbox 360. Everybody that bought the player shouldn't worry since Microsoft will continue to support these customers where needed. Rumors are now saying that the giant is preparing to start producing Blu-ray players for the 360 console.
Other rumors say that the price of the HD DVD player will be slashed even more, but I can't think of anyone being interested in buying a 'dead product'. Sales figures show that the player was sold 300.000 times, main reason for this number can be found in the price drop that Microsoft issued a month ago.
Currently the price is set at 120 bucks... Do you know anyone that's buying the player now?
