More and more people start using mobile Internet on a regular basis. Research firm Nielsen Online comes to this conclusion in one of their latest reports. According to the research firm 7.3 million Britons accessed mobile Internet at least once per month during this year’s third quarter.
Compared to the previous quarter this means a growth of 25%, since in the second quarter only 5.8 million Britons accessed mobile Internet. An important reason behind this growth is not present in the Nielsen Online report, but one can imagine lower prices and faster connections being important.

The fact that many mobile phones nowadays provide 'real Internet' because of improved displays, might have led to the rapid adoption of mobile Internet.
Interesting to see is that 25% of the mobile Internet users is aged 15-24. This shows a clear difference between mobile and regular (PC-based) Internet users since the latter is scaled older.
Regular Internet usage grew only 3% during the third quarter, meaning that these days 35.3 million Britons access the Internet at least once a month.
