MultiMedia Wales sets goal to produce 15 million DVD's a year

The "national website of Wales" icWales is reporting that a spurt of activity is in the mix for DVD recordables there. Blank DVD manufacturer MultiMedia Wales is looking to introduce 15 million discs a year and become a force to be reckoned with as it ramps up its production capacity. In addition, they say that the product they produce will be aimed at those needing some media of high quality. Nothing wrong with that.

Mr Thornhill said, "With the wealth of support provided by ExportAssist we have managed to create international trade partnerships.

"This helps provide a firm platform from which to launch the business.

"We have also developed a clear picture of the global marketplace and our position within it.

"Encouraging signs within the industry demonstrate that it is running at 40%-50% below demand.

"We are aiming at the top end of the market, with a high-quality product, and our research illustrates that there is certainly a market for every-thing that we can produce."

Major industry players are showing a keen interest in the firm's products.

Sounds like a good idea, a nice supplier of high quality media. Maybe sometimes we would like to think, that some valuable data we have taken the time to backup will be there when we need it. Take a minute and visit over at icWales for the full story.
