In our Media Testing/Identifying Software Forum Erik Deppe, author of Nero CD/DVD Speed, has anounced that a new version of his software will be available soon that also supports PI/PIF scanning for NEC drives. PI/PIF scanning is used when one wants to know the quality of a written disc.
At the moment many brands already support this feature but NEC users were lacking support for this. Recently we called for users to send an e-mail to NEC to support this function and it seems NEC has listened to its customers. Users with a NEC 35xx drive will be able to use this new functionality when the new version of Nero CD/DVD Speed is released.
