As Napster is almost dead, more and more people switched to Napster like programs. In April this year about 100.000 people were using alternative services. Now, about a month later it's only 50.000.....
Not only the number of users was cut by 50%... Also the number of shared songs dropped by about 50%....
What caused this is quite obvious: the RIAA's case against Napster, wich turned out to be bad for Napster because they had to install a filter.
Since then, Napster lost about 20% of its users.
My personal opinion: this ain't good. If the RIAA succeeds in these kinds of actions others (BUMA etc) will follow....
