Since Nero 5.5 we haven't heard much of Ahead Software (developer of Nero), so I asked them what we can expect the coming time. This is what they answered:

we are working on the DVD support.
NeroMIX:
we now also support the playback of Videos, not only for music. Working on new skins.
NeroMAX:
the amount of the supported recorders has to become higher.
They also noted that Nero 6.0 won't be out before next year. So you will have to do with the improvements of Nero 5.5 untill then !
