After two months since Nero's last release of 7.8.5.0, the company has released an update with a fairly significant version jump to 7.9.6.0. One interesting thing about this update is that Nero has actually provided a changelog, which contains the following:

- Opening an audio file could lead Nero Burning ROM to stop working properly
- In specific cases no output file format could be selected while creating an image file
