New Audiojack version 1.4.0 record Internet radio streams

mounty used our news submit to tell us "There were several new releases of AudioJack  last week." He's absolutely right. We just reported on AudioJack for the first time last Sunday and it seems there have been 2 updates since then.

AudioJack is a tool to obtain your favorite music from the internet, in a legal manner, by capturing braodcast streams to your PC and making them available to store. AudioJack does not search file-sharing networks for your favorite songs, but instead uses internet radio stations. AudioJack comes with a complete set of tools to make internet radio a new experience.

Version 1.4.0: August 20. 2004

  • Added: online search function for radio stations
  • Added: new option to capture external audio streams

Version 1.3.9: August 16.2004

  • Fixed: larger station and favourites lists can be handled under Windows 9x
  • Fixed: new option in the find-dialog: show all results
  • Added: disc name can be changed for multimedia CDs

One capability of this software is to detect artist and song title automatically from the received radio stream and record the entire stream belatedly. If you find a song interesting after listening to it for a minute or so, you can click the instant recording button and AudioJack will save the current song completely.  If you think you might like to try out this program, then head over to the AudioJack website. You can learn more about it there and also see some screenshots. Here is the link for the download. If you try it or have comments about it, feel free to share them here.
