New BatchDisc version released, 32-bit recording for DOS

Drain used our news submit to tell us
that a new BatchDisc version has been released. BatchDisc is a
free 32-bit DOS based recording software with a full range of command
line options. In this latest beta version we have the following changes:

BatchDisc v1.05
(beta):

  • Better buffer underrun handling and
the new ability to burn XMD images

  • MakeFS handles file lists now in a way
which allows higher flexibility to the user

  • DiscBurn has been added, but the
ability to read CUESHEETs is still missing. It only accepts the XMD
    files created with e.g. GrabDisc

  • MakeFS enhanced. Under certain
circumstances only a "Joliet Short" Branch additional to the ISO Branch
was written to the image file - this has been fixed. Volume naming now
    works correctly.

  • Registering didn't work sometimes as
    expected. Interface for this procedure
    unchanged.
I really wonder if there are people out there that use DOS for their
CD-recording needs.. If you're interested in trying the software then you
can download it via the BatchDisc website.
