Wiccabilly used our newssubmit to tell us about a new version of Grokster. He says grokster users are being urged to upgrade to a new version 1.5.1 when they log onto the network. Starting yesterday (3-16-02) a dialog began popping up when I log onto Grokster saying
"Choose 'Yes' and the upgrade will take place automatically. If you have questions or problems upgrading, please consult the support forum on our homepage."
Given Grokster's apparent complicity in sabotaging Morpheus, he has clicked "no" because he simply don't trust KaZaa/Sharman/Grokster or frankly, anyone who uses spyware. It is quite likely that all this "upgrade" does, is finish the process of shutting out Morpheus clients and/or disable the clients running with a dummy file instead of CyDoor. Anyone know more?
