New PeerGuardian version released, more reliable logging function

GristyMcFisty used our news submit to tell us that a new version of the freeware software PeerGuardian has been released . With PeerGuardian you can block 'P2P-enemy' IP addresses so that these addresses cannot check which files you're sharing. On the PeerGuardian website we can find the following information on version 1.981:

Updated PeerGuardian to v1.981b. v1.98b was a totally lame version. This release makes the logging more reliable and makes PG more responsive. Sorry for the previous release been so crap!!

Reverse-scanning is now in place on BitTorrent, been gathering a few suspicious IPs.

Previously we reported that the PeerGuardian technology was far from being perfect but if you're interested in trying out this latest version, you can download it from the PeerGuardian homepage.
