New alpha version of DirectShow filter ffdshow released

Last
weekend a new release of the DirectShow filter ffdshow has been released on the SourceForge website. For those of you who don't
know ffdshow, it's a filter which, simply said, enables you to watch and
listen to many video (DivX, XViD, etc.) and audio (AC3,
etc.) formats which Windows natively does not support. The change log of
ffdshow version 20041003 is rather long so rather than posting it here, you can
view it on the SourceForge website.


ffdshow is DirectShow and VFW codec for
decoding/encoding many video and audio formats, including DivX and XviD
movies using libavcodec, xvid and other opensourced libraries with a rich
set of postprocessing filters.
