New beta version of Exact Audio Copy (EAC) released

Last month
we reported that
after a long waiting period, a new beta version of the popular audio ripping
software Exact Audio Copy, or EAC, had been released. It seems there were some
small bugs in this version and Andre Wiethoff, author of the software, has
yesterday released a
new beta version that addresses these bugs:

As always there were some slight bugs in the first larger
release, so here comes directly a new version. Hopefully this will fix
most issues with the last version. CDRDAO problems will partly persists
(not starting up), perhaps try a differently compiled EXE, any with
version number equal or greater to 1.1.9 should work fine.

For those who still have problems with
accessing freedb using EAC, please try the command line switch "-http1.1",
you can, if it works for you, enter that directly into the properties of
the desktop shortcut.

For those of you who want to download this latest
version, v0.95 beta 2, you can find the EAC website here. As always, you can
use our Audio Forum on Club CD Freaks to discuss this latest
release.
