New version of file sharing program Overnet has been released

H-EvA-K used our newssubmit to tell us that a new version, v0.43, of the file sharing program Overnet has been released yesterday.

For people that don't know Overnet, it's a file sharing program but, unlike some other programs, it does not require a central server to operate. This latest version has the following changes:



Overnet v0.43 News:

  • Hashes of temp files now cached
  • Check firewall status with 3 people
  • Republishes your location after your buddy changes
  • Much easier to connect to firewalled dudes
  • Fixed problem with strange search results
  • Add upload requests to sources
  • Improved contact list freshness
  • Auto-launch on windows startup added
  • Add "-t" to the parameters list to start in the tray
