The way this article presents the current back-and-forth between HD-DVD and Blu-ray, it certainly does cast the light on this that we could spend our time doing better things--especially when one reads about the Wii's phenomenal success (that's more of a story than HD-DVD or Blu-ray). It's really a counterpoint to this struggle, since at least Nintendo understood to capitalize on its strengths and otherwise "keep it simple." Here's an indicative quote of the article's tone:
"The two titans of the business world could have averted this current public relations disaster had they been willing to broker a compromise in 2005. While there were extensive discussions along these lines, however, neither side was willing to cede their demands in order to come to an agreement."
