Some time ago, I reported about Microsoft giving prizes to PC dealers who let MS know if people bought a computer (or more than one) without buying a Windows version with it.
PC dealers who handed these names over to MS could get some nice prizes like watches, barbecues and even a holiday!
Today MS announced that they'll stop this campaign. MS tells us the only point of this campaign was getting clearity in the business sector about licenses. If that's true? I doubt it..
Now this campaign has been cancelled, MS says it was just a test and according to themselves it was a stupid idea after all....
I really hope they know they have done things far more stupid than this.... lots of things... like developing Windows
