Nu Tech releases new DDW-081 firmware enabling DVD-R(W)!

I found this via CDRLabs.com . Nu Tech has released a new firmware version for their DDW-081 DVD recorder. What's special about this release is that with this firmware you can turn the DVD+R recorder into a dual format drive! According to Nu Tech the firmware release is for testing purposes only so please be careful when you decide to flash your DDW-081 recorder:

Flash firmware for Windows mode:

  1. Please download the appropriate driver file you need from website.
  2. Run the flash program under Windows.
  3. Click on the "Upgrade" button under the flash program.
  4. "Status Upgrading" is starting to flash the F/W, normally you will wait 2 minutes.
  5. After flashing, the system will appear "Complete"
  6. Then, restart your computer to finish the flash procedure.
  7. If you don't like this f/w version, you can use pervious version.

Warning! Flash program can't use on DOS mode of Windows!

Note:

  1. Nu does not recommend you to upgrade your F/W, if the drive is working properly and does not encounter any irreclaimable problem issues.
  2. Nu is not responsible for any defective reasons if the upgrading process caused the issue.
