Also, it will be of interest if you want to be able to help with a project that may produce a program capable of making DVD-Audio files for backup. This would be very useful for instance, if you had some vinyl you would like to preserve and want to see if DVD-Audio could reproduce the qualities of vinyl in a digital format. The program is in a very early aplha stage at this point. According to the Hydrogen Audio Forum, it does work well at least for one member. Next on the list (among other things) is a GUI interface. To learn more about this interesting project, or perhaps even to take part in it - head on over to the Forum there and give the discussion a closer look, the author is active in the thread.
One thing that's pretty cool, the project home page currently contains an in-progress "unofficial DVD-Audio specification" - which he is welcoming contributions to.
