According to a news published at Tech-On, Pioneer Corporation has developed a signal converter that can bi-directionally transmit not only HDMI and DVI signals but also USB, RS-232C and analog audio signals through a single optical fiber by multiplexing the signals. Signals can be transferred at high distances (300m according the news).
There are not yet details about marketing schedule of this product nor about prices (nor about if this device will contain other DRM stuff...)
