Cohen used our newssubmit to tell us that Padus, the software house behind DiscJuggler has updated their website. On their site you can find the new features of DiscJuggler 4.0 and DiscJuggler .NET.
.NET Is as you might know the latest development of Microsoft that should allow applications to communicate and share data over the Internet, regardless of operating system, device, or programming language.
On the Padus website we can read that the following new features will be available in version 4.0:
CD and DVD writing: DiscJuggler 4.0 enables you to many types of disc drives, from the new to the old. |
Peer-to-peer network:
Share a desktop's disc writing drives on the network to other machines, allowing them to have disc writing capabilities.
Next-generation interface:
The upcoming user interface for DiscJuggler 4.0 is designed from the new Microsoft standards.
Accurate audio duplication:
Support for PQ (index points and variable gap size), R-W (CD+G/Karaoke) subcodes, and on-the-fly audio stream resynchronization.
Robotic controls:
Embedded robotic control support for popular autoloaders and juke-boxes available in special version of DiscJuggler.
DiscJuggler.NET is software that enables you to use one CD-RW drive for several clients, just like a printerserver. .NET is the future and Padus is one step ahead of their competition. Altough I don't think this will be much intresting for home users...
