In an interview with The Korea Times a manager of Panasonic Corporate Communication Europe, Peter Weber, said the company has plans to develop a strategic partnership with Samsung Electronics. The main goal behind this partnership is the expansion of the global storage devices market.
"Now, the discussion is over. We will maintain a healthy relationship with Samsung Electronics for the next-generation computer storage market," Weber said in an interview with The Korea Times on Sunday. Weber continued by saying that Panasonic isn't interested in what they call 'the introducing time of Blu-ray players'. Besides this the manager says that it's important 'to step up the marketing' and that Panasonic is ready to inject money for promotional goals.
A new generation of Blu-ray devices are underway and according to The Korea Times these will have disk drives and Internet connection.
