PeerGuardian update released, blocks RIAA IP addresses

GristyMcFisty reports us that a
PeerGuardian (PG) update has been released. For those of
you who don't know the software, PG is a utility that blocks certain IP
addresses used by the recording industry and affiliated companies to search
for file sharers. Here is the changelog from the latest version:

PeerGuardian v1.99b pr13-5:

  • Fixes to blocklist
    tools

  • Extended max. ranges per
subnet. (should work for larger lists now)

  • "Checking [IP]..." isn't
dumped to the status page any more.

  • Status-page textbox now
    clipped to stop potential
    overflows.
For more information on PeerGuardian you can check out the homepage. If you have any experiences with this software then
you're of course welcome to react on this news item.
