Peerflix suffering from growing pains

After, posting the Peerflix story earlier this week, I decided to join, for "investigatory purposes' to help us keep an eye on this Internet movie sharing service. Looks like they are growing so fast they can't keep up with demand.

At the moment, they have a one month free membership drive. Now, it looks like I just got another free month. But, I can't share movies yet.

Dear New Peerflix Users,

My name is Danny Robinson, I am CEO of Peerflix.  I want to personally email you and Thank you for joining the Peerflix Beta.  We are growing very fast and scaling the company from startup to full operations as fast as possible.

I wanted to let you know that because of our recent spike in growth we have run out of Welcome Kits (which include your mailers) at our US Operations Center.  For that reason, we have sent them today from our Canadian office, which will take about up to 5 days to reach some of you.  If you get requests to send your movies before you receive your kits, simply ignore the request until you get them.  Once you receive your mailers, simply log into Peerflix and click Movies I Have to send your movies out.

In exchange for your patience, for those of you who have signed up to the Free Trial, I have extended your free trial by one extra month.  Thanks again, and happy trading!

This is indeed good news as it is always great when a new company is suffering from the onslaught of too many customers. Plus, this has to be getting Hollywoods attention. Soon, the United States Postal Service will be performing as lackeys delivering movies, like so many fruitcakes, all over the US and Canada. Whilst the Hollywood moguls will be left out of the ensuing cash flow. How will they combat this model? I don't know either.

In fact, I have just dubbed this the "fruitcake model' of film distribution. As the same movie is being sent via the postal service over and over again to different recipients in an endless odyssey.
