Pioneer: DVD recorder demand to jump with more then 205 percent

Digitimes reports that Pioneer estimates that the demand for DVD recorders
will grow with 205% in 2004. In rough numbers this means that about 13.5 million
DVD recorders will be sold in that year. The numbers are published by a
Taiwanese subsidairy of Pioneer, Pioneer High Fidelity Taiwan. The company
expects that DVD recorders with a hard drive build in, that should replace the
current VHS recorders, will become mainstream this year.
