CJay used our newssubmit to tell us that Pioneer has announced a new MP3 car audio system. It plays both MP3 and audio CD's, has very good looks and has most standard radio functions on board.
Besides that is supports Radio text and has a speaker input terminal for connecting a GSM hands-free kit.
The DEH-P7400MP is compatible with CD-R, CD-RW and CD-ROM discs. MP3 files recorded with data rates from 8 Kbps up to 320 Kbps, and also files recorded with VBR (Variable Bit Rate). Both ID3 Tag and CD Text are supported allowing Album names, song titles and artists names to be displayed. Either Single Session or Multi-Session discs can be played, and the MP3 files and be organised into folders for convenient archiving. |

In addition to MP3 CD playback, this product has a host of other powerful features including Pioneer's EEQ+ Easy Equalizer system, with full on-board networking (LPF & HPF), 3 audio Pre-outs for connecting external amplifiers, optional remote control, RDS Radio text and a speaker input terminal for connecting a GSM hands-free kit. The system can be further expanded to include Multi-CD, DAB Digital Radio and a TV Tuner using Pioneers IP-Bus control line.
One of the important things of a car audio system is that you read the display from multipe angels, so you won't be disstracted when driving. According to Pioneer this system has a display with high brightness and good viewing angles.
