The moderator of our DVD Forum has posted that someone is bound to sue Pioneer for misleading him on the speed of their A03 DVD writer:
Paul Lush (paullush@btopenworld.com), one of our visitors is not too pleased with Pioneer's claims that the A03 DVD Writer is a x2 DVD writer when in fact it can only burn x2 on certain branded media (while other media will only burn at x1). |
This means that you will have to buy certified branded media if you want to fully utilise the burner. The time taken to burn a full DVD-R at x1 is 1 hour and at x2 it is 30mins - so it is a significant time saving! He feels he has been mislead by Pioneer and aims to organise a class action suit (combined effort) in the UK.
I have set-up a special forum dedicated to this matter for him.
(He especially wants to hear from DVD-R manufacturers.)
What do you think ? Is he just nagging or is this really misleading information from Pioneer. If you want to give your support to this person you can mail him here.
