The latest survey from the BSA claims the European software industry is still struggling to contain the problem of software piracy. The survey found that in 2000, for the first time in six years, companies haven't been able to drive down their losses. A third of business software world-wide is pirated and global losses of £2.4bn, says the BSA, are leading to lost jobs and hampering innovation and product development around the world. The worst offender was Eastern Europe, with a piracy of 63 per cent!
