CDRInfo.COM Forum has posted some interesting info on the new Plextor PX-W2410A. It seems that there's a new hardware revision of this burner out now (TLA#0101 and TLA#0100) which do not copy certain copy-protections anymore!
To some of you frequent visitors this might sound (all too) familiar because there were a lot of posts on the Plextor PX-W1210A and the SafeDisc 2 issue some time ago...
Here's the info:
Plextor PX-W2410A |
- TLA#0000: Copies all
- TLA#0100: Cannot copy Cactus Data Shield 100 protected CD's and some Cactuse Data Shield 200 CD's anymore.
- TLA#0101: Cannot copy Cactus Data Shield 100/200 protected CD's anymore and it also has problems with certain game CD's.
So watch out when you're planning on buying a new Plextor 24x burner! You have been warned... You can find the TLA# on the writer itself.

Please Note:
That these 'facts' are just rumours right now. The guys at CDRInfo.COM forum know what they're talking about but, again, we cannot confirm this news. I posted this so maybe some other people can confirm it for us... So if you have any more info please share! Use the forum or post below.
Thanks!
