Protect your CD/DVDs from scratches with d-skins

Hypnosis4U2NV used our news submit to tell us "I've never seen this mentioned here and since this is CD Freaks related I thought it would be nice to inform our members.. This seems great if your interested in protecting original media that gets lots of use.. The alternative to making a back-up of the original, but like many CD Freaks would agree, not quite better than making a back-up of the original.."

d_skin® Protective Disc Skins® are a combination of the latest developments in micro-resin engineering and hi-tech manufacturing. The patent pending laser transparent Skin® and micro-engineered outer ring technology are breakthroughs in disc protection. The ultra-thin Skin® forms a protective barrier around your discs that render them nearly impervious to scratches and the cruelties of an active life. The outer ring is securely fused to the laser transparent Skin® to keep the Skin® firmly attached to your discs at all times, even while they play

We may have reported on this in the past, but it does
bear repeating in case others have missed it. These discs protectors are
intended for one time use but if you are careful, you can take them off and put
them back on. They do get scratched, but at least your disc did not! More
information can be found, including where to find this product, by following this
link.
They are not cheap, as we can see them for sale at one online
retailer for around 45 dollars US for a 50 pack.

One thing I am curious about, is if they could be used in a slot loading car
stereo safely. This is where most of my problems occur, due to sloppy storage
habits of music CD's that I use in the car, due to vibration or just too lazy to
place back in the case right away when I change out the
discs.
