Thanks to I4U News for bringing this to our attention. AkibaLive is reporting that RIO has some new smaller MP3 players coming soon. What is rather unique is that they will feature portable speakers with a mini subwoofer. Called the SU240 they will come in two sizes 256MB and 512MB, they will be on sale in April and May respectively.
| What makes the Rio SU40 stand out is that it also comes with the Rio Live Mini 2 way, sub-woofer included portable speakers. When the Rio Live Mini speakers are powered from an AC adapter, they use 250mWx 2 channels and the sub-woofer output is 900mW. When using the battery they use 45mWx2 channels and the sub-woofer output is 140mW. The outer dimensions of the speakers are 86.4x32.4x26.1mm with a weight of 100g. The Rio Mini Live speakers will go on sale during the middle of May. |
The little players have a built in FM tuner that allows direct recording. They also feature a line in jack for direct recording of MP3s. The bit rate is 32~128kbps with six levels to choose from. You can visit Akibalive to learn more.
