Real Alternative 1.00 is out, play real media files without RealOne/Realplayer

Have you ever been curious about the content of a RealMedia encoded file? Of course we all have. But,maybe you did not want to have your pristeen registry altered by installing RealPlayer. Now there is an alternative solution available from Freecodecs.com. Here is a quote from the install
window:

Real
Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files. This way you can play
RealAudio and RealVideo files without having to install RealPlayer. You do
need a player that is capable of playing RealMedia. The included Media
Player Classic supports it and works very well.

RealAudio
(.ra .rpm)

RealMedia
(.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil)

RealText
(.rt)

ReadPix
(.rp)

RealMedia
embedded in webpages

.smi and .smil
files sometimes only play the first part of a clip. This is a limitation
of the current Media Player
Classic.

It also installs a new entry in All Programs under XP. However, if you are using a program such as KazzaaLite, simply double-click the file and it will play. The program can be found here.
