Restore your hijacked Internet Explorer homepage

Nighthawk used our newssubmit to tell us about a tool to restore your Internet Explorer homepage after visiting the lop.com website:

A week or so a go something I installed changed my IE home page to www.newtopsites.com, and after restoring it, it would always be set back to newtopsites next time I ran IE.

Also I was getting attempted (blocked by my firewall) net connections by sfx2.tmp and also the same program with other numbers.

After finding no fix on the web for it, I did a search on Google groups and found the solution.

This fix also works if your home page has been hijacked by lop.com. However in the case of lop.com, it can also be fixed with the latest Ad-Aware update.

Download and run this uninstall tool and if you have the Lop toolbar installed you need this as well.

Use these links and don't visit the main lop.com site or your home page will be hijacked (again)!

Sites are getting more and more aggressive to generate traffic to their page(s)... Be careful when surfing out there
