Roxio provides CD Burning Technology for pressplay...

Roxio, the creator of the *populair* CD burning program Easy CD Creator, today annouced it has been chosen to provide CD recording capabilities for the new music subscription model pressplay. They also become a pressplay affiliate, which means roxio will sell the pressplay services to its customers. Other affiliates are MP3.com, MSN and Yahoo. With pressplay you can stream, download and burn music.

``We are excited that pressplay has chosen Roxio to provide their CD recording functionality,'' said Chris Gorog, president and chief executive officer of Roxio. ``Pressplay is building a path to the future which will allow consumers to experience a new way of enjoying music. Roxio prides itself in its forward-looking approach to the market and we are proud to be part of this compelling new service.''

``Pressplay is dedicated to building and offering a service to move the music listening experience forward for music fans,'' added Andy Schuon, president and CEO of pressplay. ``Roxio's brand is recognizable to consumers and its technology is the market leader. Working with Roxio lets our subscribers know that they are using proven and innovative technology.''
Bla bla bla We all know that the products of roxio are not that advanced, but for the average Joe it will be enough.

With the basic service you can only burn your content at 4 speed. If you want to be able to burn upto 24x you have to buy the roxio premium CD burning plug-in. But no fear: existing customers (aren't we all? ) will be able to burn CDs at full speed!
