Samsung introduces its new 40x writer, the SW-240B

While surfing the internet I saw that CDRLabs.com has posted some news on Samsung's latest 40/12/40 drive, the SW-240B:

Key features:

  • Writing(CD-R) 40X, Rewriting(CD-RW) 10X, Reading(CD) 40X,
  • High Capacity Buffer Memory(8MB)
  • Reduces noise and vibration with DVA(Dynamic Vibration Absorber)
  • Supports variable packet CD-R, variable and fixed packet CD-RW read and write
  • Supports Mt. Rainier
  • Supports 12X speed CD-RW

So the specs seem pretty good to me. A big buffer, Mt. Rainier support and high write speeds. And besides that, I just have to show you a picture of the drive. It looks very nice:

You can find the full specifications of this new drive on the Samsung website.
