GristyMcFisty used our news submit to tell us that the Korean Association of Phonogram Producers (The Korean RIAA) is going to sue LG telecom for distributing MP3 capable mobile handsets. LG telecom has sold over 80,000 of the mp3 enabled hansets in just two months, a deal had been reachined in April with LG to make sure the capabilities of the phones were limited, meaning Mp3s self destructed 72 hours after being downloaded. This limit has not been enough for the Korean Record industry so now they are filing an injunction against LG as well as promising to boycot the telecom operator.
